Welcome to Massie Stables. A New Zealand based showjumping barn operated by Logan Massie and Alexa Dodson. Their focus is on producing quality young sport horses for the showjumping market while also campaigning at the top level domestically and internationally. 

Massie Stables takes pride in running a professional operation and offering exceptional care for our horses. Striving for excellence in both the competition arena and in the management & training of quality sport horses. Logan and Alexa have recently built a safe, practical, and beautiful horse farm in Dannevirke, southern Hawkes Bay. Nestled in the middle of the Massie Families 3000 acres sheep and beef operation, the horses enjoy a peaceful atmosphere and all the benefits of farm life.

Team rider Logan Massie has extensive experience competing at New Zealand's top level and is regarded as one of the country's most consistent competitors and a top producer. He has spent over four years training in Europe, working for some of the world's leading riders, and he continues to regularly campaign internationally recently being based at Cian O'Connor's in 2022. Home in NZ the focus is on continually growing a top-quality team of horses, with the aim of regularly competing internationally, while also running the family farm.

Stable Manager Alexa Dodson has been involved in the equestrian industry for many years through competition and business. She has previously competed successfully through to 1.35m level and now enjoys producing horses through the age series. She manages the day-to-day running of the stables and horses. Alongside Massie Stables Alexa is also the founder and director of Equus Auctions, New Zealand's premier online auctioning site for sport horses. These two businesses combine her experience in marketing and sales with her passion for the equestrian industry.
